    A all the way!

    TAP Travel Voucher - Expired

TAP's customer service is dreadful. They do not respond to any complaints or requests for assistance. To my detriment, and many others, we have learned the hard way - don't fly TAP!

    Camino Norte or?

Irun to Santander is a fantastic section but it is tough to begin with if, as you say, you're not so fit. You also need to check on whether accommodation is available between Irun and San Sebastian as it's fairly sparse. Camino Ingles from Ferrol to Santiago was also a great walk.

Camino del Norte in 28 days. Start in Bilbao or start in Irun and skip some stages?

We loved Bilbao to Portugalete! All those cranes ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

    One Small Step(Several Large Wines!)

Frank and Jules, thumbs up to your decision on opening Michel Thomas, together with the cheese and port of course! Michel Thomas for me has the very best way to learn languages ... his style doesn't suit all but, for those of you who'd like to learn some languages before you go anywhere...

How would you rank the Caminos by difficulty?

I agree, the Camino del Norte is wonderful. First week may be tough coming out of the Pyrenees but well worth it. Following the coastline is wonderful.

taking a shower in the albergues

Had a joint shower room with no separate cubicles or curtains in a private albergue in Requejada on the Camino del Norte. Last resort if it bothers you, wear your swimwear or shower in your underwear and then they're clean for the next day!

    Safety for women

Hi Katy I'm 60. I walked the Camino del Norte with my daughter last year and then went on to walk the Camino Ingles by myself. We never felt threatened or in danger in any way. The latter Camino was particularly quiet with days where I met only a few workmen along the way and very few...

    Pack help please.

Nancy, I have an Osprey Ariel 55 which I used walking the Camino del Norte. It's a bit heavy to start with at just over 2 kg. My total weight when packed was about 9 kg plus water each day. I got used to it and it was a fantastic fit. The rucksack has three entry points which is great when...

Where in Bilbao - Donde en Bilbao

Absolutely agree. It was a fantastic section. Make sure you take the route on the east bank.
