you will probably arrive at terminal 4. If my memory serves me correctly from T4 there is a bus that goes directly to Pamplona. And from where the bus leaves you off in Pamplona you can walk to the Camino. Hope this helps
Charles Schwab is my bank of choice. They do not charge any transaction fee and whatever the bank in Spain charges you Charles Schwab will reimburse you. Seriously I cannot see how it can get better than this.
Now for the bad news about using your debit card in Spain. If for any reason your...
Hello Sher and welcome to the forum. There are many options. I would fly to Madrid and from there take the bus to Pamplona. If your time is a little tight you can easily start your Camino there as many people do or connect with another bus. You might also look into flying directly into...
Just finished the Camino Francis. My thoughts would be to try and relax. I know easy suggestion for me as a white to be saying. I only connected with one woman who appeared tbe of American American descent. She did not seem To all uncomfortable; I did not see another person with similar...
Hi Rene and welcome to the forum. While from the USA I am currently living in Spain. Just finished the Camino and may be going back again either in September or about the same time you are planning for. I did manage to make it without a blister. And of course happy about that. Please,any...
I started in Pamplona a few weeks ago and so glad that I did. Just get off the train/bus and start your Camino. No transfers or scheduling concerns. And you can start walking the moment you get there.
My strong vote is for the Sandals with socks. Currently, I am on the Camino and have been walking in them almost exclusively. I imagine I will need my hiking shoes if it rains but so far no rain. The Camino is littered with hightop hiking boots.
I just read something about a trail that just opened up in Chile. It connects 17 parks and is about 2,000 miles long. This should keep you occupied for the winter months. let us know what you find out. Good luck
Pete
I am on the Camino as we speak and I am imagining very close to where you are. If you are interested in sitting down together for a bit to eat drop me a note.
Buen Camino

this is my perspective: I was a nurse for 35 years, I have successfully dealt with type one diabetes for over 55 years and am now living in Spain. Honey is going to be your best friend. When you have a low blood sugar it is the fastest and safest way to bring it back to normal. Keep it with...
Unfortunately I am speaking from experience. For me the only way to be certain that these are bed bugs is blood stains on the sheets. Some people have a reaction and others don't but everyone bleeds from the bite. I am interested in hearing from others with similar experience.
Anywhere in the central Madrid is no more than a 20-minute cab ride (30 euro's is the fixed rate) to the airport. If money is not a major concern suggest you take the opportunity to enjoy Madrid; it's awesome. Once upon a time I lived in your neck of the woods. Buen Camino
Hola I drove the Camino 2 years ago and still have great memories from that trip. At the time that was all I could do and as they say - "it's your Camino". This year I am walking. My plan is to be in Leon on the 25th and so maybe our paths will cross. Keep in touch. And just maybe, I...
Hola Erin
See if you can enjoy your time in Madrid. It is a very beautiful and safe city. And please, if you have a chance to visit the Retiro Park (very close to the train station) I can only imagine that you will not have any regrets. I have spent countless hours there. And you can be...
I can understand your parent's concern. It might help if they read this forum. I think it will help them realize you will not be all alone in the wilderness. There was a woman this week who could not find her mom. Within 48 hours she was receiving pictures of her and confirmation that others...
I am in complete agreement with those who are suggesting Charles Schwab Bank. I am originally from the USA and am now living in Madrid. They charge me nothing and reimburse me for any ATM fees charged by the bank here in Spain. I have routinely taken out 500 euros a day with no problems...
