Hola, we started at the beginning of the third week in September this year and it was very hot. Towards the end of the week we had a day of drizzle and light rain showers, which we regarded as a blessing from the heat. We are used to much more rain than that here in the north east of England!
We tried to book on the ferry in Vigo this September but they were all full and we were leaving the next day, but no mention of needing a pass from the Xunta.
I have eaten there a good few times and enjoyed it very much. Not alot of choice but the waiters are lovely and helpful and the wine is very good. You don't need to book either - we never have so far, including last September.

Being first timers they probably didn't know about that and actually, neither did I! Although disappointed it didn't detract from their joy in completing this section, and they have all expressed an interest in doing more.
