Camino Portuguese Starting Week In September

Hola, we started at the beginning of the third week in September this year and it was very hot. Towards the end of the week we had a day of drizzle and light rain showers, which we regarded as a blessing from the heat. We are used to much more rain than that here in the north east of England!

Cies Islands day trip - from Baiona or from Vigo?

Thanks for this. It sounds wonderful. We will try again in the future.

Cies Islands day trip - from Baiona or from Vigo?

We tried to book on the ferry in Vigo this September but they were all full and we were leaving the next day, but no mention of needing a pass from the Xunta.

Who has enjoyed the pilgrims meal in Seminario Mayor San Martin Pinario?

I have eaten there a good few times and enjoyed it very much. Not alot of choice but the waiters are lovely and helpful and the wine is very good. You don't need to book either - we never have so far, including last September.

I am lucky that I have a small garden and my son has just dropped off some fruit and veg. We are booked to start our pilgrimage on...

One amazing day on Camino dos Faros/Costa da Morte!

Thank you for sharing your experience and breathtakingly beautiful photos. We did the Camino Finisterre a couple of years ago and when you first get sight of the Atlantic, it's a wonderful feeling. The most amazing place for me was Muxia and the beautiful church on the headland with its bells...

    Pilgrim office statistics

[Q I hope this reply wasn't aimed at me. I only wanted to clarify the position for my first time friends. I very much appreciate the work of the volunteers in the the office and everywhere along all the various caminos and all the wonderful help posted on this forum. I was in no way criticising...

Being first timers they probably didn't know about that and actually, neither did I! Although disappointed it didn't detract from their joy in completing this section, and they have all expressed an interest in doing more.

    Pilgrim office statistics

Hi we arrived in Santiago last Friday evening having walked the Camino Inglés from Ferrol. On Saturday morning three of my friends - this was their 1st Camino - joined the queue at around 10.15 with tickets numbered in the 800s. They queued for a while but wanted to go to the pilgrim mass at 12...
