Seems we all feel this anti-climax. I wanted a banner to walk under (the finish) and a line of cheering people but all I got was a nearly empty square and lots of scaffolding on the cathedral
What really helped me was going to mass. I am not religious but the experience of attending, shaking...
Thongs, jandals, flip flops, call them what you will, but if you want to prevent a foot fungus, wear them in the shower.
Far more common than you might realise, and breeds in hot sweaty socks too.
A tube of tinea cream applied after each shower also goes a long way... just saying
Just imagine if we banned snorers from the Camino... there would be no-one walking! Or maybe just ban them from Albergues - the rooms would be empty. but of course how do we assess their 'right' to walk the Camino.
Then can we ban the clickety click of the walking sticks, people who talk with...
Anti-inflammatories (ibuprofin) will get you to Santiago but will only mask a problem. When you get home have it properly assessed (physician, podiatrist, sports medicine clinic). Foot problems usually take a while to heal.

We are almost in Santiago. I have been disappounted in how all the concrete markers in Galicia have had their mileage signs ripped out and covered in graffiti. I just don't get why people think that's OK
Hi there. Recently someone posted a link to a very funny site called Camino Times or similar. It was a spoof site and very funny. Now I want to share it with my son and cant find it (There was an article about the race for beds).
2 days and we will be on Santiago. Its been an amazing journey.
This would have to be the one thing that has really disappointed me on the trail. I always take my own rubbish with me and do pick up regular rubbish, but the thought of picking up other peoples used toilet paper makes me gag.
In one stop - Cafe Movil - there were signs everywhere (of a man...
