Go for the Meseta Lizz! Walk Burgos --> Leon --> Ponferrada --> and from there via the Camino de Invierno to the apostle in Santiago 🌸
But any other route will also do the job ;)
Hi Dave.
Thanks so much for your advise. Sounds like you have lots of experience in that area (?). I have the Covadonga church depicted on my desktop for three years now. I must go there 😄 I'm planning to walk this pilgrimage from Santander to SdC from the end of April to the very end of May...
Hi all,
I'm planning a new Camino this year.
Starting from Santander and then of to San Vicente, and on to Santo Toribio. From there I will cross the Picos (Ruta Reconquista or an even more challenging TBD mountain route) to Covadonga. Now I know I can then go on to Oviedo and do the Camino...
Hey dimdog, I really love your picture also. But I think you replied to 4RJN's thread by mistake. The pic you photoshopped is the one that Roland49 posted in August 2019 (O Cebreiro). 😆
Proud of you man, well done! Take it easy and don't worry to much. You'll make it if you just take your time. Listen to the body and send more of those great pictures ;-). Beautiful! And enjoy the company along the way.
Thanks and keep us posted. Buen Camino.
Best regards, Robin
Thanks Laurie.
I'm in Bilbao right now. Will be wandering through town tomorrow. See some nice things and have good pintxos. Get me a stamp at the cathedral and relax.
Will let you guys and girls know how things will be along the way. I've got myself a tent also. So no worries about...
O excuse me, just one (more) question: Are there enough of these little feuntes along the way?
I'm planning on two bottles of water (totall 2 liters) in my pack, which I would like to refill every now and then. It's going to be a warm August walk :)
Dear Laurie, and all others adding info to this thread,
I want to thank you so, so much for helping me plan my Camino!
Based on this thread I've made notes (11 pages!) that, together with Ender's guide, will for sure contribute to a wonderful pilgrimage.
This Sunday I will travel to Bilbao...

Buen Camino!
Hi there,
I’m traveling to Bilbao next weekend. I will walk the Olvidado and Invierno to Santiago. Some time in September I hope to reach Saint James.
Does anyone know if this QR-code system is still in place in order to obtain a Compostela certificate?
Best regards, Robin
Hi Joergen,
Thanks so much for keeping us posted on your Invierno journey. Very helpful indeed.
Stay safe and enjoy your way to Santiago and Finisterre.
Best regards, Robin
