Hi,
After my Camino, I am flying home from Porto Portugal. I have a reservation the night before my flight leaves at the Park Hotel Porto Aeroporto. (I wanted to be close to the airport because my flight is scheduled to leave at 7AM)
So, I was planning on taking a train to Porto the day before...
Is there a place to buy hiking poles when I arrive in SJDP? I'm taking my pack as a carry on, and from what I read, even collapsable ones are not allowed onto the plane. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for the tip... I visited booking.com and it stated there was no availability at that hotel or others in Roncesvalles that were recommended... do you think its because they are closed now, or truly booked up for the date I need in June?
It seems all the hotels in Roncesvalles are booked solid... So, I looked at Hostal Burguete website, and they may have a room (according to their website calendar), so I've sent them a request... I hope my legs can walk that far!!!... Thank you for the recommendation.
Evy70,
Update: ... I'm a member of a group on Facebook called APOC (Americans on the Camino). I searched their page for information about Hotel Roncesvalles... and many people seemed to have a problem with them returning their emails... and recommended going onto booking.com to make a...
Thank you... I decided on Hotel Roncesvalles and sent them an email requesting a reservation. Many thanks for everyone's advice and help. I'm traveling alone and its my first time traveling internationally... with that, I am so grateful to this forum, its members, and how quickly everyone...
Hi,
I begin my first Camino on June 28 2018, from SJDP... I plan on walking all the way to Roncesvalles that first day. I was considering letting fate land me where I may in terms of staying in an alberque. But recently have it on my heart that I may want a private bathroom on that first Camino...
Thank you for the info... I’m staying in Barcelona for 2 days... wanting to visit the Familia Sangrada and Monastery... I’m flying out (home) of Porto Portugal; going to take a train from Santiago to there as it was cheaper in terms of not flying out of Santiago... flying with TAP Portugal both...
I plan on leaving Barcelona and traveling to Pamplona by train. Do you know if I would leave from the Barcelona Sants Train Station? If so, will there be a direct train route to Pamplona (because I don't read/speak Spanish and worried about changing trains)? Also, should I buy my ticket online...
Do you know if this Bus only runs once a day? ... I may not get there for the 12PM time because I'll be taking a train from Barcelona that morning and think it's about a 5 hour train trip.
I will be coming from Barcelona.... I thought the most direct and easiest route would be to take a train to Pamplona and then a bus or taxi to SJDP .... is this the best option from Barcelona?
