Hi:
I completed the Frances this past June and am planning to walk the Primativo in September. What is the best route from the coast to Oviedo? I need a few days to "wake up" before hitting the Primativo. Many thanks in advance to this incredibly valuable Forum. If there are prior threads...
Hi:
I'm considering using my Thermolite sleeping bag liner as my sleep sack and not bringing my lightweight down bag at all. Has anyone else used a Thermolite liner as their sleeping bag on the Camino? I'm finishing my three year Camino this June - going Leon to Santiago. Any advice would...
Hello:
I started my Camino in 2011 and have been doing it in 2 week stages. God willing, I will finish this year. A friend is hiking his first Camino leaving May 10th from SJPP. If I want to overlap my final stage (starting in Leon) with my friend, when should I plan to arrive in Leon -- my...
Hello:
I start in seven weeks (but who's counting?). A couple of questions:
1. My Spanish is quite limited -- I've been listening to Pimsleur tapes for the past year and am halfway through Spanish II. I'll be a solo traveler. Will I be OK?
2. Kindle -- Anyone taken a Kindle as an...
Hi:
I'm walking from SJPP to Logrono in late May (by myself). I have a ticket to Toulouse from the states. Due to flight times, I arrive in Toulouse very late in the afternoon on the 17th. Any recommendations for a place to stay?
Next day 18 May I will take a train from Toulouse to SJPP...
And bought my ticket to Toulouse. :D I'm going to do it. I originally planned to walk the entire Camino this spring (beginning in May), but a broken ankle one year ago and a long recovery squashed that plan. So I will walk from SSPdP to Logrono beginning May 19th. I'm scared. I'm excited...
Hi:
I'm walking from SJPdP to Logrono at the end of May (can't take more time off). I see rail connects Logrono to other parts of Spain. Does anyone have a recommendation for getting from Logrono to a city with a large enough airport so that the flight back home won't be outrageously expensive?
Hi --
I would love to walk the Camino in 2010, but prefer solitude so was thinking of starting in spring (April) of 2011. But I so want to want sooner rather than later. I can get a two month unpaid leave of absence, so time off is not the problem.
Any thoughts?
