St Jean Pied du Port Booked...anyone staying at Gite Ultreia on Sept 8th 2019?

Me too. Last October. Nice spot with a good breakfast available in the morning before I headed off. I had the mens 4 bedroom on the top floor to myself that night. Was a nice spot, v central and I’d recommend the restaurant directly across the street (go for the basque menu-lovely).

    Via Regia in december

ah, right I see...tks. Wasn't aware of that. And tks for that town to town guide - that certainly is useful! But from what I've read on here about the Via Regia is that I've to call ahead and "arrange" each Pilgerherberge for the following day or so. I don't think that i can just turn up in the...

    SJPdP Boulangeries

Hi. I’m thinking of leaving the town before sunrise next week when I start my trip for Roncesvalles. I was wondering if you folks on the forum would have an idea about what time the bakeries open in the town? I’m staying on rue de citedelle and was hoping there is one open there or on rue de...

How often will we come across drinking water? Sizes of water bottles??

Am I right to think that a water bladder is expensive? Say about 60-70 euro for a deuter 40+10 backpack? I’d prefer the “bottle system” as it’s what I’m used to but I’m not sure it’s going to work out for my camino. I’m struggling to find the right bottle in Ireland that’s suited to be used as...

How often will we come across drinking water? Sizes of water bottles??

How often will we come across drinking water? Sizes of water bottles??

Yep-that make completes sense. Your right. Why not take out the guess work and get it sorted beforehand? Janey, I feel as if I’m trying to control everything before I leave. I’m planning for everything I can think of before I leave. Is it excitement or just a “need” to control?? I hope I don’t...

How often will we come across drinking water? Sizes of water bottles??

I know that this might seem a queer question but can anyone tell/show me the 330-500ml bottles of water that they sell in the supermarket/grocery store in SJPdP? I need a certain type of bottle shape in order to attach it to my backpack straps. This is the idea I’m following So anyone know...
