Some years ago, we floated the idea of the "Camino of St. Brian" and St. Brian Arrowsmith. It is no doubt accurate that he was not a pilgrim as we know them, but he has been accepted here, so we are delighted.

In February 2024, the North Highland Way achieved recognition from VisitScotland as a multi use route, so it is very high profile now. The Friends were delighted, and the developer is over the moon.

You are right of course...but we are doing it anyway.....in this area no one works together. They have wanted the North Highland Way for 30 years, and we still have difficulties.
Friends of the North Highland Way now have cycling on the North Highland Way. Off road cycling that is. In Scotland we have core paths which are maintained by the local Council. They are not joined up and quite short in places. Our objective is to join them up and make the North Highland Way.
