I second @classicalfan ! I’m walking since May 15 and only walked in the rain one day (there were other 2 really rainy days, but I used that as an excuse to take rest days!) It’s definitely not cold while walking, just chilly in the evening/night.
I stayed in a new, clean and friendly hostel called Koba in SS less than a month ago, it was about 25euro with breakfast included, I would recommend it.
Pasaia is cute!
I started in Irun but it was very cloudy that day so I have no idea what the views are like:confused::confused:
Oh my! I was so glad I slept in Pasaia!! There was no way I would have made it to San Sebastián yesterday!!
My legs hurt today, I did some sightseeing in San Sebastián to make it worse for the legs... so, yeah, maybe we’ll see each other! I’m the peregrina dragging herself to Orio tomorrow with...
Hahahaha!! No, it wasn’t me! I did the Purgatorio yesterday and slept in Pasaia. I’m not fit enough :-D Taking it slow, although tomorrow is going to be tough again... hope my legs will manage!!
Buen Camino!

That was also my first plan, but I’m a newbie and don’t think it’d be a good idea for me to start in the rain. I’m waiting a couple of days, hoping for some dry days ahead! All the best to your start!
Hello!!
I’m flying to Biarritz on May12 and will start walking on May13 or 14 very slowly :-D
Would really appreciate some company on the first day or days, anyone else starting on those days?
Buen Camino!
Stella
