    Lack of balance

My doctor sent me to a neurologist. After MRI’s we’re now onto Nerve Conduction Studies. We’re ruling everything out. I too look like a drunk lady sometimes. It’s very unsettling but keeping positive and I’m still walking.

    Lack of balance

Thank you so much for commenting and sharing Kaz. It’s quite comforting to know I’m not the only hiker with these problems. I too am doing everything I can to not let it prevent me from walking. I head off to the Via DeLa Plata in a few months.

    Non-religious staying at Auberges

Golly gosh. Half the fun was collecting the stamps (Sello btw) along the way. When you get home you can look at your “Pilgrim Passport” and reflect on all the kind cafe / bar / hostel / pop - up bars owners who were cheering you on. Even if you’re not ( in your opinion ) a propper pilgrim don’t...

Hi, I walked the Portugues Coastal last year and this year I’m going to walk the VDLP starting in Salamanca. I’m looking for to a whole new experience. I’m aware it is not going to be so picturesque as the CP but in its own way still beautiful. I know the days will be longer and perhaps hotter...

Advice on walking the Portuguese Camino from Porto

That’s how long I took last September. Includes one rest day. Days ranged from 28kms to 14kms. It’s fairly flat till Galicia- that’s when some hills crop up.

If you had to skip some of the coastal route.. which part :-(

They were the very beginning of our Camino and I was excited about everything but after 1.5 days of boardwalks I was glad to see the last of them. Looking back they are right on the beach (beautiful) and part and parcel of the Coastal Camino. If you’re short on time skip. If you have time enjoy...

    Which part to skip?

No ferries on Mondays but the private water taxi right there at ferry terminal runs always. Great service for Euro5.

I agree. Vigo is not pretty and very steep. Skip this. Also skip the 1.5 days of boardwalks out of Matishinos. Just go from straight to Espesonde and start there. Bom Caminho.
