Oh, there are just no words.
What a life, lived and lost, too soon. Much, much too soon.
My respect, condolences and prayers to his loved ones and community
Thank you, Robo, I liked watching that interview very much, getting further insight into the film and its creator. I was lucky enough to be introduced to Bill and Jen last night (and particularly enjoyed a lively, cheeky chat with Johnnie Walker before the screening). We will be doing all we can...
I attended the film's Adelaide premiere (and Q & A session which followed, with Bill Bennett, Jennifer Cluff, Johnnie Walker Santiago - and AFotC Chair Janet Lietch presiding) last night. The cinema was packed, audience response emotional and enthusiastic. Singing and clapping along to Dan...
I was privileged to see the film in pre-release and was moved and delighted by it, even in small format on the telly. Dan Mullins' singing just adds to the delight of this story. I cannot wait to see it on the big screen at the Adelaide launch next week.
Thank you, and apologies: I realise I phrased my previous post rather badly - of course you still benefit from a Camino, regardless of where you sleep or eat. I think I was trying to say something about being left in peace to walk as one wishes, whatever that looks like, regardless of one's...
Yes! I hope they can walk without being bothered or pursued. I'm sorry they have to miss out on communal Pilgrim meals and albergue life, but I hope they benefit from the Pilgrimage.
I agree. I would not wear them myself, at all. But, I will not judge those who do, although I believe it IS a bit sad for them (which is perhaps a form of judgement, sorry).
I really appreciated his appearance in Bill Bennett's film. A small but oh-so-moving contribution to the excellent production. I'm sure I would appreciate his skills as an organist, too, if I had the opportunity to hear him.
My (limited) experience seems to confirm this: in 2018, my first pilgrimage, I met several different people of colour: I recall meeting 2 different Black American women along the Way, and later, walked several stages with a Filipino man (resident of Canada) and another man, originally from...
As another South Australian, I must point out the correct spelling of the HEYSEN Trail (named for the artist Hans Heysen), which runs through much of the beautiful Adelaide Hills, so beautifully depicted in his landscapes. I noticed your spelling error being duplicated in all the responses to...
On my 2 previous pilgrimages (and indeed, whenever I travel overseas), I take along an official list of my prescribed medications, signed by my doctor on the GP clinic letterhead. Never had any problems, in fact, last year in France, when I ran out of one medication, I enquired at a Pharmacie...
Of course! You're right, wasn't thinking. And I think 90 degree angle is generally correct answer for me, having looked at other photos.
* I have edited my initial reply to 90 degrees*

I think I did it! Learn something new every day on this Camino we share.....
I had to stop earlier than expected last year on the Chemin d'Arles - you can read my story in my thread "Je m'en vais! I'm off!" (in the Routes in France/Chemin d'Arles - Via Tolosana section in this Forum). I'll try and insert a link, just a minute.... nope, can't figure it out, sorry. I will...
I use One Way Nordic walking poles and was trained in using them by the Nordic Walking trainer/physio who introduced me to walking as part of a therapeutic rehab program. I continue to walk weekly with a small group which includes our trainer/leader/physio/Camiga. Having done 2 caminos/chemins...
Hola EliseJo,
I THINK I just DM-ed you - actually, I "started a conversation" with you to let you know I'm happy to participate. Let me know if you didn't get the message and I'll try again. Cheers, Anna
