UPDATED:
Borders between Spain and Portugal are open and there are no border control. Galicia still have restrictions, but Tui in Spain is full of portuguese people today. Also pilgrims.
You still have to check if you can get to Portugal by flight and all that. That is still a little unclear...
Hi Fellow Pilgrims,
An update on winter open albergues on The Portuguese Ways. Ideas Peregrinas, the coolest sisters on the camino #ProveMeWrong, made a list in collaboration with the Camino Ninja App (that's me) on open alberges for winter / off-season / covid-19 etc. between Tui and Santiago...
Daily updated list of open accommodations between Porto and the spanish border. Nice to have in the pocket.

FYI: Just want to tell you a friend of mine just completed Camino San Salvador today.
The only place he could not find accommodation for less than 20 euros was in Poladura.
I made a few additions to my Packing List and thought it might be helpful for anyone planing on walking the camino now
Masks
Hand Sanitizer
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping Pad
Contactless Credit/Debit Card
All the info is here:

Bom dia,
The Portuguese camino is officially open. The albergue in Porto, Albergue de Peregrinos do Porto, accepted the first two pilgrims yesterday.
And they have implemented all the new required safety measures:
I can't wait. See you there!

The municipal albergue in Melide is closed from august 20th to 22nd.
The albergue has 156 beds and those people have to find beds elsewhere.
Also there is a really big fiesta going on ...so make reservations in advance if you go here or close to.
Buen camino!

Hi Pilgrims,
I'm new here on the forum, even though I've walked a few caminos already.
Just wanted to say hi and Buen Camino and Ultreia and all that :-)
