    My Camino pictures

Thanks again everybody! :) Jupp: A day or so. Too bad we didn't meet then. But it's amazing how you meet totally different people if you're just one day behind ...

    My Camino pictures

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I like to take pictures and therefore always try to frame them in interesting ways. The cam I used was a Casio Exilim EX-S600. It has 5 megapixels and it's very slim and lightweight. It costs around 200 euros. And I know this because I had to buy a new...

    Refugio at Manjarin/El Acebo

I've been staying in Majarin. Tomas is somewhat eccentric but very nice and he cooks in the evening for everyone. The room with the mattresses is VERY basic and there are no toilets and no showers. But I can handle that for one night. I found it a very special place and also a very good...

After having been there: Don't miss the Meseta! It has some of the most beautiful parts of the Camino, especially immediately after Burgos. There are boring parts of course as well. But it's a good exercise of the will to do them anyway :)

    St. Jean to Roncesvalles

I've not done either because of a stomach problem but from what I heard the Route Napoléon is awesome (if you're somewhat physically fit).

    Camino Blues

    Camino afterthoughts

Hi Kiwi, Well, I did it like this: Put Vaseline on my feet in the morning Then wear my quality socks (no liner) Take of the socks during my lunch break (or even also in the smaller ones) so that my feet could dry Hope that helps :) Jerome

    Post Camino Blues?

I don't want to sound like whining, but how did you cope with your Post Camino Blues? I miss the Camino, the walking, the friendliness, the community, the people, ... But I guess we'll just adapt again. And thanks to the internet you can at least somewhat keep in touch with the wonderful...

    Camino afterthoughts

I will but later. I'm too tired today and I still have to adjust to 'normal' life again ... It worked perfectly and she's a very nice woman. We had a nice chat in the car.

    Camino afterthoughts

I didn't go the Route Napoleon and started in Roncesvalles. Afterwards no foot problem at all! And only one tiny blister.
