    Replace trail runners or not

No decision - Get a new pair and breakin for two weeks.

What’s the difference between my two chargers?

Size/weight of step down transformer and other components to handle higher current, would be my guess.

    25 km per day?

@Rita Flower Do the trees respond in English or Spanish, or is there a Google translate for 'whispers from nature' 😜

    Night Hikes / Star Gazing

Intentionally walked from el Burgo Ranero to Leon during the night to "stargaze"; terrain flat (i.e. on road/asphalt) which allowed for continuous stargazing 🌃 , yes the sky was clear and stars were clearly visible, but nothing to write home about :-(

    25 km per day?

For some it takes at least 20km to completely zone out, and the next 20-30km is where the magic happens 🤣

Crazy things people do in the last 100 km

After undertaking a monumental adventure, there is such a reward in sharing with friends and fellow pilgrims in Santiago. Jumping ahead a day, means you arrive in Santiago on your own with no one to share the memories and experiences with. Understand the reasons behind your decision, but it's...

Crazy things people do in the last 100 km

Forget about the 🐈 for a moment 😆 there definitely needs to be some clarification as to what is under the Poncho, and what appears to be one leg, a monkeys tail and a hiking pole appearing from underneath 🤣

    Alsa Bus and luggage

Agree 👍 ALSA app is your friend, and in some situations can help you avoid unwanted passport/ID checks. As mentioned above prepare to store all large luggage (anything larger than 25L, estimate) and follow usual best practices for keeping your luggage safe.

Some suggested updates to the Camino Mozarabe guide

Are you sure, I built my entire itinerary for later this year, including stops and accommodation solely off https://www.gronze.com/camino-mozarabe. My one concern is a repeat of last year's temperatures 🔥🔥 and possibly the odd stage where there is 15km+ between food or more importantly water...

Some suggested updates to the Camino Mozarabe guide

Hello @peregrina2000, can you please provide more details about the referenced Mozarabe guide. I have found an 'Almeria to Granada walking guide' attached to a separate thread, but I presume you are referring to a separate guide. Thanks in advance 🙏

Those who have walked at least one Camino - What are your favorite insoles and why?

Depends on many factors. It's the one excess item I carry on all hikes, a spare dry set of insoles. Have used the following brand consistently for well over a decade. Sorbothane Shock Stopper Double Strike Insoles

First Camino - Nervous and with questions about the start

Good Question. Unfortunately it appears there is only Spanish support for both App and Website. Chrome Browser is your friend in translating the Spanish gronze site. <Right Click> and select 'Translate to English'.

First Camino - Nervous and with questions about the start

More excitement than jitters, which increases exponentially from about 2 months in advance.

    Agreed, safety is paramount.

    Caminha to A Guarda

Thanks, will assess the tides closer to the date, and check the status of the taxi operators located behind the campsite, before entering Caminha.

    Caminha to A Guarda

On a related topic, how often does the weather, sea tides and wind impact the Xacobeo Transfer and other water taxi crossings (appears to be at least 4 additional water taxi options). Plan to delay the booking of the Xacobeo Transfer until weather conditions are known, perhaps 48 hours in advance.
