I truly did! Thank you. And no worries…I found travel to be much easier and pleasant than pre-Covid. Everyone is really trying to help each other along and sort it all out.
I did not intend for this to be a debate. I was merely stating what the requirements were for me when I traveled to Spain a few weeks ago.
After doing a small amount of research, I see that indeed, there was a change in requirements while I was already in Spain (July 17) which has lessened...
I just returned from a trip to Spain. The requirement is proof of vaccination and completing the travel document for Spain. When you will need the negative Covid test (can be antigen or PCR) is upon re-entry into the US.
Sorry for the delay in this response. Busy days... To answer your question, no. I didn’t do a trial run first. I’ve spent a number of vacations and caminos trying to identify the region I’m most suited to. Then I did an entire trip just for house hunting. When I saw my home, I just knew it was...
Oh, I should also clarify...I will be retiring in Spain, and not seeking employment. Yes, you must show an independent source of financial income to be allowed to live in Spain, as well as health insurance, unless you are applying for a work visa. I understand this is an almost impossible task...
I am moving to Spain just as soon as they will let me in! This has been about a 2 year process with much in-depth research. The very best information I have found is online and through the Spanish immigration websites or through Embassy websites. You can find “kits” for moving there, and...
This is exactly what I was seeking! I can overlay this with what I’m finding virtually, and I think it will all be covered. This seems to mirror roughly what I’ve been finding in my virtual travels over this path so far! Many thanks! 🤗
Lol. Actually, you have inspired me, through your virtual Camino, to do one of my own (of a sort)! As I’m “walking“ through this, km by km and day by day, I am finding everything I need, as the Way always provides...I should have learned by now that it always does. Thank you for your generous...
Thank you so much! I will! Let me get a bit more organized first. 😂. And I will watch the above post. I’m terribly excited about the possibilities of this route!
I am wondering if anyone has completed this route? I am trying to plan it out as my next Camino, and am finding it difficult to find places to sleep, especially in the middle stages of the route. Would one need to pack a tent and camp? And if so, does anyone have suggested spots for doing so...
As a matter of fact, I have a very dear friend who works at Sage Memorial. I have not seen her in person since high school, but we keep in close contact through Facebook. Please give Marlene Gale my love and regards when you see her! ❤️
I grew up in Window Rock, and my sister was born at Sage Memorial in Ganado. This was where my foundation was laid, and still very much my home, many, many years later. My heart goes with you on this very different sort of Camino. Thank you for your work! I hope to meet you one day along my...
I fly to Spain regularly from the US with only my carryon backpack. I always have each of those items minus the knife and have never had an issue. They always note the scissors and have me remove the metal tips from my poles, but allow them without a problem. The only place I’ve had nail...
