    Live from the VdlP

Am doing a vlog on the Plata which I thought I'd share! Started off with three nights in Seville for the Fería de Abril (video 1), and joined by my cousin from Vancouver. Currently on Day 3. Pre-VdlP: VdlP Day 1: VdlP Day 2:

    Mozarabe in February

Hi! I did indeed! It was mostly fine and usually rained at night. Chilly starts and particularly cold when the wind was coming off the Sierra Nevada! I wore leggings most days and my Arabic scarf! Here's day one: (the rest are on my YouTube channel. Including Granada to Córdoba in May) Buen...

Do Spaniards srsly eat this much tuna?

Yes the frustration for my vegetarian co-pilgrim was that they would stick tuna on top of everything; 'vegetarian' macarrones, salads, etc.!

    Oversaturation

Just as an aside; I'm currently on the Mozárabe between Granada and Córdoba and have met NO pilgrims whatsoever! It's a different experience to the Francés in that I have the whole Way to myself: not worse or better, just different. I guess the Francés (which I assume is what you are talking...

Disparities between Wise Pilgrim and Brierley distances

I'm on the Mozárabe atm so can't consult the books you cite, but my first thought is WP uses satellite positioning and Brierley adjusts for terrain?

    Mozarabe in February

I'm embarking on the Mozarabe this 6th February, Almería to Granada. Anyone doing it at this time? I'll be using the Almería Association's hostels and am already in touch with them via WhatsApp (though it seems likely I will be completely on my own in them!)

    Mozarabe in Winter?

I'm starting from Almería 7th February and going as far as Granada, then hope to do the Córdoba section in April or May. Anyone doing the Mozarabe then?

    Preparing for the Camino

Preparing my feet for my CF June/July along the Thames footpath. A newly-unveiled Big Ben looking all shiny and new! What mini treks are people doing to prepare, and can anyone recommend any near London (I'm contemplating a Chaucerian yomp to Canterbury in the next couple of months)?

    Books on the Camino

Oh yes, got a very nice copy of the Starkie (see photo)!

    Books on the Camino

Thanks all; I'm going to have to swallow my pride and dig out my first generation Kindle. I'm old, and I will always prefer a physical book, but I have to see sense while on the Camino, and reduce the load!:

    Books on the Camino

I really want to take the Gitlitz/Davidson Cultural Handbook with me on the CF this June; but it is a big book. Has anyone taken it with them, and did it augment/expand the experience?

Poll Do you listen to anything while walking?

No, I sang, along with my new Camino friends, filling the days with joy and laughter:

Is this a bad summer to go on the Camino

I'm starting from SJPDP 9th June, arriving (hopefully!) in Santiago 24th July. I'm expecting the last 100kms to be busy, and I might book ahead from Sarria onwards. Buen Camino!
