    Hi Roving_Rufus, Thanks for your response. By "rough sleep/bivvy" I'm guessing you mean what I'd call "camping". If so, I'm afraid that won't be possible for me. I'll be 74 and won't be carrying camping gear. I'm a Camino newly and though very fit and hearty will need a bed every night.

    I'm a newbie and will do Frances in September and October. I've nailed down my travel from the US to SJPP via Paris and Biarritz but I'm having difficulty with the logistics of getting back to Paris from Santiago for my return home. Knowing there's a slick-trick and would be so thankful for help.
