Have noticed in the last few days how much quieter the Norte is now than the first half of the route. In the last few days I am seeing no more than 1-2 walkers during the day, and in hostels sometimes it has been no more than 3-4 people in 30 bed hostels. Is this people heading off to Primativo...
I’m in my second week on the CDN and am pleasantly surprised by the consistent good weather we’re having. Last week around Deba and Bilbao I had 2 wet days which made walking on paths tricky and slippy but since then and for the foreseeable the forecast is good and on some days has been a little...
I’m flying out to Biarritz today on the 1pm and interested in a car share to Hendaye if anyone else also flying out today? Please reply or message if any interest
Will I need to take much cash with me for my Camino Norte starting this month or will most cafes/ restaurants and hostels along the way accept cards?? Would welcome people’s recent experiences of this And specifically guidance on what kind of place will need cash.

I am planning to walk the Camino Norte in September and interested in feedback on this walk.
Are there plentiful accommodations options all along the route and do I need to pre book?
Do people believe this is a tougher walk than the Camino Francais?
What do people think the highlight stages...
Travelling from Sarria to Portomarin we came across lots of these structures which we can’t decide if they’re shrine type things or animal coops? Anyone know what they are? There were so many of them on most properties and haven’t seen them previously on the trail. Anyone know what they are???
not sure if this where I should post but here goes. Just finished day 1 of my Camino. SJPDP to Roscenvalles. As expected was tough, but no tougher than expected. The first bit particularly up to Orisonne is very hard ( for me). More manageable after that. Very warm today so the heat was a killer...
I am planning to start my Camino early September, and have been holding off booking things till I had some certainty I was able to do it with all of the Covid issues. For anyone walking now, or planning to soon, can you share how things are, and what additional challenges Covid is giving in...
Would be interested in anyones views about whether completing the whole of the French Way starting in St Jean in 28 days ( walking) is achievable. I would plan to build in rest days after each 7 days. Total duration of around 32 days. I have walked 200 miles previously in one stretch over 14...
