    Last night, I stayed at Casa Domingo, a farm house that is an albergue, at Pontecampaña just beyond Palas de Rei and San Xulian on the Camino Frances. A total delight and a tasty pilgrim dinner for the whole group, even us vegetarians!

    I had better luck with the SIM card option, but make sure your phone is Unlocked for this to work. When I tried MetroPCS’s (powered by TMobile) international plan, it simply didn’t work, and I had to rely on a friend’s phone. Just my experience, though. :-)

    Thanks for this. I’ll be walking is May-June too. Very sensible. I walked from Astorga in July with just a liner, but I wouldn’t do that again since I had to wear all my clothes more than once. Was fine, but not necessary. :-)
