    Your pack weight is key. My was 15 lbs total. Try to get it down as light as you can. I wore smart wool socks with silk liners. No blisters. A well broken in shoes and extra shoe laces.

    getting from Madrid to SJPdP

    I am arriving in Madrid at 7:35am on the 19th of May. Planning on taking a train to Pamplona arriving at 14h00. From there I was planning on taking Express Bourricot to Saint Jean but that price is 84 euro. Seems high to me. Can anyone suggest any other options? Thanks for any help.

    Trying to make reservations to travel by train from Madrid to Pamplona in May. Doesn't seem to work using Renfe or Rumbo web sites. Do I need to have a ticket before I get leave? Or buy it when I get there? Any advise on how to book one would be helpful. Thanks. Jim
