    Online camino maps

It was mostly OK in 2017, although the first stretch out of Toledo was poorly marked so I used apple maps to Navigate. Otherwise all seemed OK. Have you looked at Wikilocs for a route and track?

    Sureste or Levante

I thin all the stand out places are the same ones as Laurie mentioned on the Levante. I think you will love the Invierno.

    Sureste or Levante

I have only walked the Sureste and as Laurie said they do overlap a lot. In fact at many points it is easy to swop back and forth between the 2. From my notes there was not a lot of road walking for the first few days of the Sureste except for day 1 getting out of Alicante. However, as I don’t...

A little surprised you have opted to stay in Quiroga for 2 days - I found it to be a rather dismal place with littel choice for food in the evening unless you wanted to eat after 2200! I stopped at Monforte de Lemos which is about 35kms after Quiroga which has lots of accommodation choices ( I...

    ?Starting Sureste in early March

My memory of the terrain on the Surest is a little different from Maxie - I thought overall there was a lot of variety through the various stages. However, there are very few pilgrims - I met around 5 and they were mostly in the last 100km of the Sureste.

    ?Starting Sureste in early March

Last year I stayed in the AdP in Villalpando which is between the school and local police station. There was a large signpost to it which made a change from having to hunt for it. AdP was very simple, it had 6 beds in 3 rooms and the hospitalero seems to live in! No locks on any doors…… Hope...

    Sureste 22 April 17

Sorry about that. My OCD makes me clean up everything so I deleted it. IN part because the guide provided in Alicante was more comprehensive.

    ?Starting Sureste in early March

I walked the Sureste last year and also walked on to Astorga and then the Invierno. Love it all, I saw less than 4 perigrinios on the Sureste and none as I headed up to Astorga. In fact saw more hikers while I had a coffee in Astorga, as they streamed along the Frances, than I had seen the...

    Info request about starting point

By missing out the Alicante to Yecla bit I don’t think you will be depriving yourself of anything spectacular. The only item of interest in my blog from that stretch is the castle in Sax. Cartagena sounds lovely but I have no knowledge of the route. I tend to be a bit fascinated by ‘doing it...
