I have found the Fluenz program to be very helpful. They have 2 Spanish programs, Spanish Latin America and Spanish Spain. I do the lessons on my laptop, but they also have an app that can be accessed on your phone or iPad. It is geared for English speakers and introduces various grammar...
I can totally see swapping, but I don't recall el menu del dio being so abundant that someone walking 20K per day would be able to split it (unless of corse, they had an enormous lunch 😉).
Great suggestions. I would just add that in the showers it is nice to have hooks outside the shower for your clothes / towel, and inside the shower for you kit and maybe a shelf for soap/ shampoo etc
Many monks and nuns live in monestaries or convents but work in the community, in schools, hospitals or charitable associations. Some stay in their location (monastery / convent), but provide goods for the community and interact by selling their products (honey, beer, fruitcake, etc.)...
It sounds like it might be a nice option for some who don't have either room to hang it, can't because they rent, or don't have storage space. It is something I might consider if I have the opportunity to do another Camino.

I spent my extra days in Madrid. It was fantastic. Lots of great art, parks, good food, and Flamenco shows, so I would plan to spend a couple of days there prior to departure. In between, Zamora or Salamanca look interesting as well.
In 2016 there was a woman walking with 2 dogs. As I recall she sometimes had issues with getting enough food for them in some towns as there was not a place to buy pet food. People were giving her leftover meat and French fries for them. There were also some issues with sunburn.
Would a Vapur collapsible bottle work for you? It is very light and, though I have only used it for water, the web site says it can also handle hot beverages. This way if you also have to bring a silicon cup it won't be too much weight.
Thank you @good_old_shoes for starting this conversation. When I walked I stayed in albergues. Now with Covid, although I would like to walk, I am not keen to sleep in a room with a lot of unknown people, lovely as they might be, and a tent in the yard would make it doable. It would also have...
