all in one hair/body/face/clothing cleansing bar

I actually make deodorant, too, so I have deodorant tubes a plenty :). The problem is that the container needs to have some holes in it so that the bar can dry out so that it doesn't get mushy. I've never seen ventilated tubes before..... Oh I just got another idea! I can use a bug repelling...

all in one hair/body/face/clothing cleansing bar

Thanks! True, it won't be ideal for face, but it will be fairly gentle and non drying so it won't be terrible for most skin types. Packaging it in a tube type thing is an excellent idea! Unfortunately, I don't think the kind of packaging I would need to successfully carry that out exists...

all in one hair/body/face/clothing cleansing bar

Hey all! It's been a while since I've been here (and five years since I walked the Camino, bah!) but I figure this would be the place to ask. I'm starting up a small natural soap & cosmetics business here in Italy, and I was recently asked to formulate an "all in one" bar for someone going on a...

    bed bugs and sleping bags-again!

When I walked 4 years ago (April/May), I carried a silk liner with me,and only 2 of the 33 nights did I stay in places without blankets. On those 2 nights, I got pretty chilly, but was happy to save on the weight. However, unless I were to walk in the middle of summer, I think I will bring a...

    Hair

I've never colored my hair, so that wasn't an issue (nor do I use product or blow dry it, usually), and the only change I made before the camino is that I cut it from being nearly down to my butt to about mid back. I kept it in a braid the whole time, and I brought a shampoo/conditioner in one...

Do you know of a way I can contact her to see if she is my friend? Thanks!

Need to find pilgrims Helen and Marina from May 2007 Camino!

Hey all! I haven't been here in a while, but I thought that maybe someone could help me. I walked the Camino Frances from April 23-May 28 2007, and I very much would like to find two pilgrims (who I met separately) that I met, and I've since lost their contact information. Any ideas as to how...

    Love on the Camino

Thanks, y'all! haha, yeah, a pilgrim wedding would be fun :). I'll let you know if that happens... It would be really cool if we could walk the Camino again on the honeymoon (we've actually known a few Italian couples do this....), but don't think we'll have time. It's so strange; I most...

    Love on the Camino

Wow, I haven't posted on this forum in ages... But just wanted to announce that I am getting married to a fellow pilgrim I met while walking the the Camino de Santiago (the Camino Frances) in 2007! :D I'm American, and he is Italian; we met about 2 weeks in, walked the rest of the way to...

    Romance on the Camino?

I myself found love on the Camino Frances this past spring, which was very unexpected! I was doing a solo pilgrimage, and for the first two weeks I found myself constantly having to try to ward off men (I was one of the only youngish women-23- I encountered so I guess that attracted attention...

    Camino Etiquette

I thought the double walking poles were stupid and unnecessary until I injured my hip, an ankle, and a foot (opposite side from hurt ankle) on the camino. I had a single walking stick and could barely walk, so I hobbled in excruciating pain every day. Then, one day a friend let me try his...

    Camino Etiquette

I saw some people drop litter on a couple of occasions.... It made me really angry to see that they would do that, and I always picked it up, and chased them down and handed it back to them. Once, a man refused to pick up his candy wrapper that he threw on the ground after I confronted him about...

    Spanish Home Study Course

While it is great to learn Spanish, remember that your French will potentially be extremely useful on the camino, as there are an abundance of French (and French Canadian) pilgrims

What is the meaning of the piles of Stones along the Camino?

I have also heard that the really tall piles of rocks are intended to show pilgrims the path in case of deep snow

    Kids on the Camino

I think that a toddler is too young to be on the camino, but that is just my opinion. It doesn't seem like the healthiest environment for a young child- once they grow up a bit, to the point that they can walk/bike and understand a little bit of what they are doing, I can see some value. But a...

    Storage of backpacks

great! Also, I saw somewhere you can only post from Spain. I will be in France prior to when I start walking, and will start in St. Jean. Is it possible to post stuff ahead to Santiago in this same fashion from St. Jean?

    Storage of backpacks

How much is it to post a box of belongings ahead to Santiago? It is possible/safe to also post an instrument (violin) as well?
