well I did not and it saved me a world of pain. late August 2019... after crossing into Spain on the Camino da Costa... I had a heart attack and ended up having a stent in the Santiago de Compostella hospital.

Have at least 1.5 ltrs of water some bananas and or glucose sweets... also I recommend you reserve in roncesvalle yes it’s tough but a great sense of achievement .. also leave early... keep rucksack weight down kr

Hi if u take day off in city stay in cheap hotel first day next day in Hostel ..this is because Albergue expect u to leave at 7 ish in morning....also on meseta have face net for black flies n plenty of water ....good luck Jim Camino st James April 2017

Hi Mile I walked Camino April 2017 and used a silk sleeping bag liner...glad I did...the material is good against bed bugs also warm enough..also most Albergue have blankets..if you need link for liner let me know and I'll post kr Jim Camino 2017
