12 days mid october... Where should i walk?

2nd Camino - Repeat CF or try something new?

As many have said CF has a very unique type of appeal. After that ,to relive long distance pilgrimage you can pick Le Puy ,Norte or Via de la plata, each one of them having some similarities with CF but also great differences . Otherwise, depending upon the time you have, you could start in...

Public holiday at start of May?

Would recommend booking first few days from Roncesvalles onwards. Last may accomodation has been rather difficult all the way to Logrono, where they do have a rather important fiesta sometimes in may lasting for a few days.

Well isn't life full of unexpected things

In 2015 me and wife walked the CF in september, 7 months after her second knee replacement. We did it without any major problem (using bag transport for her ,of course) but she was definely convinced it was a bitt too early. In fact we went backagain this year and everything was ok .

    Any Recommendations for Guide Companies?

The amount of information available about accomodations along the Camino , in my opinion , doesn't require a rigid and fix prebooking of all the itinerary ,have a look here http://www.gronze.com/camino-frances it's in spanish but as you will see it's pretty much straight forward. You can book a...

Sending backpack on to next stage...

Have used Correos bag transport last two years. Never a problem and always a timely deliver. You should consider that what they consider 'stages' may be less than you think as they assume a certain number of days from start to finish. In case you are a slow walker then you'll end up paying...

    A Few Reservations

Last September ,at age 71, we got back to Camino Frances after 16 years....after having walked many other Caminos , very often in complete solitude, we were worrying about the rumors you often hear about crowds, bed race, massification of the camino, etc,etc..... It was the first time for us to...
