I have had my two doses of vaccine but...I live in Brazil and here we are given the Coronavac vaccine from China which apparently is not accepted by the EU...what now?

    Cheapest way from the UK

I don´t know how much you have thought this through, but taking a dog on the Camino is not really very fair on him/her. It is physically demanding and tiring, lots of walking on all sorts of surfaces means sore paws, and there is bound to be trouble as you pass through local dog´s territories...

    Early start

Hello fellow pilgrims! I hope someone can help me with bus times. I am doing the Camino Ingles in June, and afterward will need to get from Santiago to the airport for a 9:30 flight. I know there is an airport bus which leaves from the bus station and I would like to know what time it starts...

Most cost effective way to Pamplona?: Barcelona? Madrid? Bil

You can get a bus from Madrid airport to Pamplona for about 35 euros. It takes 5-6 hours with one change on the way. Sandra

    Hotel near Madrid Airport

Many thanks for your replies. I think the Ibis as well as the Axor Feria have shuttle services. Ideal for me as I wanted to avoid public transport alone at night with luggage. Sandra

    Hotel near Madrid Airport

Hello all, I shall have to spend a night in Madrid between flights after my Camino. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a cheapish hotel as close to the airport as possible. Many thanks, you are all so helpful. Sandra

    Madrid to Pamplona

Thanks for all your suggestions, which I have been weighing up. It now appears that there is an ALSA bus from Madrid airport to Pamplona which would save a lot of hassle even if it takes longer than the train, and it is also half the price! Sandra

    Madrid to Pamplona

Thanks for your suggestion. I had looked into that option, but after my Camino and before returning home to Brazil I am planning a quick visit to England which will be easier from Madrid rather than Pamplona. Sandra

    Madrid to Pamplona

I was wondering if anyone has done this by train? Last time I took a bus but found the journey rather long as I had jetlag.I believe there is a bus service from the airport to a rail station now. Is there more than one rail station in Madrid for Pamplona? Also is the train direct or do you have...

    Airport bus

Thanks for all the suggestions. Luckily I have some coins left over from a previous trip to Europe. That will do for a start , anyway, until I get myself sorted. Anticipation has reached the point where I can´t wait to get through the next couple of days and be on my way - despite a poor...

    Airport bus

Wow, thanks for the warning Joe  I shall be extra careful in crowded places. I intend to have just my fare accessible, the rest will be safely stashed away under clothes and out of sight. Sandra

    Airport bus

I know I have to get the red no. 204 bus outside Madrid airport to go to the bus station at Av de Americas. Please, can anyone tell me whether you have to buy tickets beforehand for this bus or do you pay a conductor? Also, any idea how much it costs? Any info would be much appreciated, thank...

    Changing money

Hi Anne, Yes, my plans (what there are of them) are going fine thanks. I get butterflies every time I think how soon it is all going to start happening :!: I've got my tickets but not booked any hotels, I want to just play it by ear when I get to Pamplona. Hope we do manage to meet. Sandra

    Changing money

Most interesting article, thank you. I guess they get your money whichever way you play it  At least I now know my card will work in some ATMS, although I still think I´ll take some pounds cash for emergencies anyway - I´m a belt and braces type of person! Sandra

    Changing money

I shall be bringing some pounds sterling in cash with me and am wondering where´s the best place to change them for euros. Is the exchange rate fixed or can it vary from place to place?
