    Ryanair from Dublin - poles

I travel a few times each year with poles collapsed in carry on luggage and never stopped at Dublin T1 or T2 security. Likewise at Biarritz. Buen Camino. (P.S. If travelling to USA via Dublin pre clearance immigration I assume poles would not be allowed.)

    Santiago Airport

You might consider getting late bus to airport and asking driver to let you off at Lourenza. It’s an official bus stop. Casa Lourenza is at the roundabout entrance to airport. https://rjacobea.com/home/casa-lorenzo/ You won’t get anything like a menu del dia here even at lunchtime. Enjoy a...

No, and I can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone with poles visibly attached.

Dublin to Biarritz 18th September 2018

Good morning Braemore, If poles fit in your bag you can bring them through security at Dublin airport. In Santiago de Compostela they are checked into hold free of charge (flying with Aer Lingus) . This has been my experience over a few years, however change of regulations is always possible...

Of course you are correct , I simply assumed if bag fits under seat one could carry it on. Buen Camino.

    Hiking to San Sebastion

GR10 is marked however I would not describe it as a hike! If walking alone I recommend you only do so if the forecast is good unless you are experienced. A few forum members have walked this route so a search should find some information. I have heard there is a lower route. Buen Camino.

    Madrid Airport-getting from T4 to T1

OK, you have made booking. Don't panic. Yep, you will endure many minutes exiting aircraft. Perhaps you only have carry on luggage. Walk briskly to passport control, avoid escalators etc. Be positive, stay alert. All going well I think it is possible to make connection. If you don't have EU...

    long layover in Santiago

Susan, if you have connecting bus at airport, you have time to kill so I suggest walk down road to Casa Lourenza, It's a good joint. Walk back to airport , no problem. But you can also connect from bar with airport bus to city approx €1.80. Want to go to city? every 30mins .

    Dublin Airport....

ChristianSdeM, My understanding is that a non EU document passenger arriving in Dublin with a paper boarding pass/app etc for a Ryanair flight MUST report at a check in desk, hence exit from airside to lanside in order to have documents verified.

    Dublin Airport....

Hola Mark, On a recent return flight from N. America I took a mental note of times involved. Flight landed 9:40. Sitting at back of plane it took 11 minutes from "fasten seat belt" switch off to reach door of plane. From door of plane to passport control, a brisk walk took 5 minutes. To clear...

JJ, welcome to forum. Are you having a laugh or are you completely open to Camino bringing you somewhere else. Please take no offence, but I assume it costs lots of dollars for one way trip.
