Ryanair
I have just discovered this while booking my next flight to Santiago. I have paid £5 each way for priority booking which includes taking my rucksack in the cabin and have also paid for seats, it's not very clear on their website until you come to book a flight.- madrid12

Vigo train stations
It is a downhill walk from Urzaiz to Guixar but it is a bit twisty. Urzaiz is new modern station where the faster trains come in but the majority go from Guixar near the port. If you already have tickets for the train to Lisbon half an hour should be ok.- madrid12

Santiago to Oviedo....
Hi Will We bought our tickets in Santiago bus station about a week in advance but looking in my journal I have written bus not very busy, this was the end of may last year but as whariwharangi says if there is a holiday its best to book. Liz- madrid12

Santiago to Oviedo....
www.alsa.es Alsa bus goes from Santiago bus station to Oviedo bus station, [ from Oviedo there is an airport bus service to Asturias airport] it takes about 5 and a half hours from Santiago to Oviedo and costs just under 30€. www.renfe.es Another option which takes forever is bus to Ferrol then...- madrid12

Ryanair
Ryanair have had reduced winter flights from London Stansted to SDC for the last couple of years, usually operating 2 or 3 times a week with very good departure times, the days have varied but often Tues, Thurs or Sat. They have been ideal for my Camino Ingles week. Liz- madrid12

Looks like it is official then, I have recieved my email saying the flights have been cancelled and do I want a refund or tranfer to Porto. We will need a rethink on our plans now. Liz- madrid12

i have just been checking Ryanair and it is possible to book flights from Stansted to Santiago after 11th Jan 2011 so hopefully they are not pulling out of this route. Although it looks as if they will only operate on Tues and Thurs and we have a flight booked for a Saturday in March so have no...- madrid12

Valladolid
Valladolid also has a regular bus service to Salamanca and Zamora if you want to pick up the VDLP. The airport bus stops at the bus station and you can be in Salamanca early evening, but Valladolid is worth a visit anyway.
