    IMO, never waterproof boots (except the dead of winter when your feet will not sweat). They take forever to dry once they inevitably get wet (usually after about an hour of rain), and can cause massive blisters because they create sweaty feet. For a summer Camino, I would not carry a sleeping...

    John, Any chance you are making GPS tracks for the route, especially the first and last days when apparently markings are a bit scarce? Also, please check on the availability of blankets in the alburgues. We're walking October, and if they are not available, we'll have to carry sleeping bags...
