I’m definitely no expert but use shoes with good tread ( as soon as the tread starts wearing out) you are more susceptible to injury). Also, replace factory inserts with good high arch inserts. I use Active Orthaheel (Amazon). Hope that helps some. Buen Camino.- Fr Scott

Do I switch routes??
I agree with Peregrina 2013, I might add that if you’re using booking.com, they only have a couple rooms that they reserve per hostel. If booking.com says no more rooms, that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s no availability. You have to call/email/WhatsApp the Hostel/Albergues/hotel...- Fr Scott

Which one to walk in mid October- mid November ?
With the amount of time you have, I would suggest the Portugues route from Lisbon, 660 km. You could also take the Fatima detour to make it a bit longer if you wanted.- Fr Scott
