What lens or lenses did you used most if you carried a DSLR or mirrorless camera?

I personally think that's too much zoom, but it also depends on what you already have. I think I might take a fairly wide tilt shift if I was only taking one lens. I know you can do it with software but I do like to compose in the camera and I mostly photograph the buildings. As I've only got...

What lens or lenses did you used most if you carried a DSLR or mirrorless camera?

I think I would use a medium range zoom, 18 to 70mm or thereabout on a half frame camera, no need for a very large aperture as long as you are prepared to use flash inside. Nice to have prime lenses but you need to decide the objective of your journey, photos or other. Or just take a compact...

Corkscrew do I take one with me?

I see. Still think it's sad, though.

Corkscrew do I take one with me?

There are campgrounds where alcohol is forbidden? Wow. What strange country is this? I've seen trains with no drinking allowed, but camp grounds? Weird. Not going there.

    Do I take a tent

Well, that's us told. I'd have been well knackered if I hadn't made my donkey carry my tent. Even if she did grumble about it because I wouldn't let her in it with me. Mostly I asked if I could use a corner of a field. Perfectly legal with the owners permission. No reason not to do exactly that...

I'll go with ties. Quiet and don't snag.iMO you do well to have both and use as appropriate.

Have albergues stopped providing blankets since 2019?

Yes, they did. I stayed in many Xunta refuges when they were new and there were pots and crockery etc.

Corkscrew do I take one with me?

My word. 48 posts and 48 opinions. Not bad for such a trivial thing. You walk between 5000 and 100km, fly from everywhere in the world to do it, and you can actually worry about whether or not you should bring a corkscrew. An item that costs about 4€ in any small supermarket in France or Spain...

Mug or not? (and other kitchen ware)

I drink wine. I don't drink it out of the bottle because that's just "nooo I don't do that" So I carry a little metal goblet shaped like a wine glass for my picnic. Can also use it for tea and coffee. Assuming I drink tea or coffee. Which I don't if there is wine. What do you mean, water...

Mug or not? (and other kitchen ware)

That's a nuisance. Mind you, I was once asked at UK port on the way to France if I had any knives. Which won them a blank look and "This is a camper van. It has a kitchen. Do you have a kitchen without knives in your home?". Honestly, you couldn't make it up if you tried, could you?

Pack rain cover needed with Poncho, or no?

That's because it's not a sleeping bag compartment. It's for wet stuff and shoes.
  14. Barbara

Pack rain cover needed with Poncho, or no?

It rains. That's why it's green. Not every day but yes, often. October and November aren't that cold but yes, it rains. Often. You might be lucky.

Mug or not? (and other kitchen ware)

Take the Opinel. You can cut anything with the knife and it has a better corkscrew

Looking for a High-Res Map of Spain.

Of course, if you recorded your route you could overlay it on the map before printing. It would also show you getting lost and jumping in taxis and busses, so maybe some editing could be needed....
