    Trekking Pole Suggestions

I worked as a tour leader in Asia for 12 years and used trekking poles most days as well as using them on three Caminos, and have used many brands and styles of trekking poles over the years. I recommend two poles (if you were thinking of just one). I prefer poles with a cork handle as I tend to...

Clothes washing - what to use?

Soap is soap is soap. It’s all just marketing ;)

    Crocs Rule

FYI: Apparently you can distinguish between an alligator and a croc by whether it sees you later or in a while.

    Walking Sandals???

Ecco Brand! I work as a tour leader in Indonesia, where it can be hot and muddy, and I've tried just about very brand on the market over the years. I will only buy Ecco now, as they have the best grip on slippery rocks, give good support and I've never had a blister... And I wear them just about...

    Which Osprey backpack?

One more thought on Osprey packs - not only are they great packs, they have EXCELLENT customer service. I am planning my Camino at the moment, but work as a tour leader in Indonesia, so live out of a backpack...and have several Osprey packs. They have done repairs for me in the past free of...
