I second Annie, any cheap discount store in any country. You want to look for the kind with a foam type bottom, super lightweight. If you are just looking to shower and walk to and from dinner in them they will more than fit the purpose.
Not repeating everyone’s advice on your packed items but keeping on the ‘my pack is too heavy’ …
I would highly recommend, and will also help, is spending time learning how to fit and adjust your pack.
Watch lots of different you tube videos, and start with loosening out ALL the straps on the...
My end of Oct/Nov/Dec camino, bottom wise I had 2 pairs of normal standard average thickness activewear material black tights (nothing special), and a cheap pair of black thermal pants from Decathalon.
Layering is your friend, it was easy to spend an extra minute in the morning to slowly put the...
I’ll go against everyone else so far. Yes, I always take both, and have always used both and been happy I have taken both. Pack rain cover is light and barely takes up any space. I find it’s perfect for light rain where you wouldn’t bother putting a poncho on and being hot and sweaty e.g in...
I lathered in vaseline AND used injinji toe socks specifically on 3 caminos (with no blisters so why change what works for my feet) and I know exactly what you are talking about. I found they were fine with washing after each wear for the duration of 1 Camino with no problems, towards the end...

You will...
I completely agree with previous comments. Don't get hung up on the 10% rule, I did pre my first camino and then had to let it go. If you don't weigh much the 10% rule will barely cover the basics. My advice write a list of the essential equipment bits, do a good amount of research as to how...
Wow David! This bag sounds like it may definitely be what I am after and ticks a lot of boxes. Also love the contorted caterpillar reference, that is the perfect description for the effects of a mummy bag! Thanks for the reply!
Thanks T2andreo! Very intrigued by the Sea To Summit zip quilt, I haven’t see anything like that in my hunt. Will definitely be looking into that one further.
I completed my first camino in April this year using a cheap $17 700g Aldi mummy sleeping bag.
It did the job for 6 weeks ... however most nights I found myself, despite being an average build female, feeling too 'fat' for my sleeping bag and worried given the cheapness of the material that I...
