I always carry a string bag with me when traveling. Before heading to the airport, I load everything I need to keep with me in it and place in in the top of my backpack. Makes it very easy to pull out in the rare instance they run out of overhead space and I need to gate check my backpack.
I don’t know about the legitimacy of it, but I question whether it would be successful. You may have a group of friends that would be happy to help you purchase a scooter, but as a general appeal to the public at large it strikes me as a big ask.
While hiking on the Camino I do what I normally do, wallet and phones in my front pockets. My passport and extra credit cards and cash are in an over the neck pouch worn cross body. I don’t worry about it hiking because It is not an issue. In larger cities, I am very aware of my surroundings and...
i have used the free roaming on multiple trips of over a month and not had any problems. The WiFi is at a slower speed, but that hasn’t been a problem for me.
My T-Mobile plan includes unlimited text and WiFi at no cost. I don’t know if they still offer it, but Sprint used to offer the same. the speed is a little slower, but not so bad that it mattered.
I am one of those rare individuals who wears jeans on the Camino. I also carry a pair of shorts for hot days, but I my preference is to walk in my Levi’s. I’ve not run into a major problem with them getting wet since I also use a poncho if it is raining. Sure, they take time to dry when you wash...
My favorite Is a Totes umbrella that I travel with all the time. Totes makes fairly sturdy and not terribly expensive umbrellas and the do come with a life time warranty. Once it gives out, I send in a couple of fabric pieces and they send back a new umbrella.
I have switched back to Ecco Tracks as my go to shoe. Not cheap, but they do seem to last forever.

Packing lists are about personal choices. For my self I am comfortable with wearing one set of clothes and having one in my pack and doing daily hand laundry with my bar of soap. I do carry an extra set of socks and underwear, but no other duplication.not sure the need for shorts if you have...

Interesting question. Had to think a bit and realized that I have a minimal system.
My pack has one inside pocket against my back and in it I put my meds that last Camino were put into the tiny pill bags inside of a quart zip-lock bag. Toiletries are in another zip lock bag, which includes a...
1. Walking sticks- I find them helpful. Usually buy them once I am off the plane since I have run into problems bringing them as carry-on. I usually arrive I; Europe a few days early so I have time to shop. If you are thinking of buying hem in Oviedo, have you though about where to buy them? The...
I walked my first camino back in 2000 when the only luggage transport was from Villafranca to O’Cebreiro and there were few private albergues so I am somewhat old school in my thoughts on the camino so my thinking is that if you can afford to have your luggage transported, you should be able to...
Along with the poncho, you may want to bring something to belt it close to your body. I normally wear my poncho loose, but in Galicia I ran into umbrella eating winds that turned the poncho into a giant sail.
I've never bothered with a sim card. I have Sprint for my cell phone provider and their free global roaming provides unlimited text and data, with a per minute charge on phone calls. Fellow hikers and I used whatsapp to keep in touch. It was great to be able to bring up a map, make a reservation...
Sleeping bag liner worked well for me. I like to tuck my valuables in with me. Had one night in San Juan de Ortega where it was cool so I slept in my clothes. Made starting out in the morning quicker.
