I have to say that I do carry a high vis jacket. It's made of pertex, very very light, yellow in colour and is fairly wind proof. I can assure you ,very handy when crossing the Pyrenees. Jolly handy piece of kit.

On my camino trips from Gatwick I use a couple of rain covers, one for the back and the other for the front. It hides all those tentacles and to hold the the luggage info a lightweight strap around the middle. It has worked for me on several trips.
I know this has been done to death and there are two camps poncho/jacket and pants, I am of the latter, but with age we tend to change a little. can someone please tell me the weight of the Altus, for the love of me I can't find it.
TIA

I have to say that I have always been in favour of water bottles until a month ago, I thought with my new Ospray pack would try the 2 lira bladder, I'm now sold on the bladder system. Now I know it needs cleaning, takes longer to take it out and fill, don't know how much you have l;eft. Well...
Hard to tell but looking at the photographs it looks as if it has been rubbing on something. Having said that you don't expect that sort of thing from the likes of Osprey, I'm sure they'll be sympathetic.
I've just bought the Kestrel 35, only used it four times since purchase but I'll keep my...
My Kestrel 38 arrived today, after unpacking my In House Advisor and I proceeded to fit it to my torso size, that was great fun and a little time consuming but in the end we got it right.
So now down to loading, quite easy with the side loading zip and before I knew it I had all my kit in, it's...
Not at all, non of us are experts and its very easy to forget the easiest of things. I've not had a new backpack for a number of years and you're right it should be fitted by someone in store to make sure you have the right size for your torso, I note that Osprey now have an App that can do the...
Thanks @gerardcarey for the reminder, I have been using packs for years but it never hurts to remind ones self of the correct fitting techniques. I’ve already been informed by Osprey that it’s on the way, so hopefully by the time I get home it will be on the doorstep.
I’ve just spent a few days researching backpacks and come up with m/l Osprey Kestral 38, does any of the team have one of these and are there any downsides?
I’ve had extra loops for caribiners added to the shoulder straps, some extra quick release clips to the waist belt for attaching additional things. No I don’t think that it has interfered with the integrity of the pack because all additions are to the webbing of the pack.
