    Thanks for the heads up on this nice piece of kit BrienC. I ordered one and now use it with my osprey sack it works brilliantly and avoids the struggle to replace the bottle into it's side pocket after drinking.

    Well Mary, you should be very grateful your hair has a mind of it's own! My mind has very little hair of its own, so I do appreciate something to cover my head from the sun I tried an Arab cotton scarf and got called someone else! So I too now have a very light cheap umbrella.;)

    Sock liner question

    Like wayfarer, I use liner socks and give each foot a good massage with gloves in a bottle so far on two camino's I haven't had a single blister. I also agree that comfortable foot wear is vital it really has to be sorted out well before you walk long distances .
