    Since you have to ask this question, then it shows that you do not know how to uses a dSLR or mirrorless camera. It's almost as silly as the question, "What exposure settings should I use for Spain?" I'd suggest that you take something simpler to use and lighter to carry. -Paul

    If you wear a waist/fanny pack, you will be immediately become the target of pickpockets! You won't have any trouble on the Camino but will draw attention in travel to/from the Camino through major cities. Keep your passport, cash and credit cards in a money belt under your clothes. -Paul

    I love Keen sandals, but the heavy soles weigh too much for the Camino, plus they don't work well in the shower. I carried Crocs which are a lot lighter and work well in the shower. -Paul

    Loud noises only tell the dog that you are "barking" back! Talk softly to calm the dog down, so the dog will not think you are a threat. Don't make any sudden moves. A dog that is only barking will most likely not bite. Most dogs growl and show their teeth as a warning before biting. -Paul

    If you eat properly, you do not need electrolyte powders. The Camino is not a race. Always carry snacks, such as GORP (Good Ol' Raisin and Peanuts) or your choice of and salt-sweet snacks. Have a bite of sausage, local cheese or chocolate! These items are easily found in local stores. -Paul
