    I took 11 weeks I found the Le Puy route tough and the spanish route easy. For boots I wore merrell moabs and I felt the vibram soles were too thin I felt every pebble under my feet. I got no blisters though I used a combo silk sock liner and wool.

    I am Happy to say I arrived in Santiago on November 10th and recieved my Compostelle on the 11th. Total weight loss for 11 weeks of hiking was 50lbs. Kits it was a pleasure to walk with you and I can't wait to hear about your upcoming travels.

    I guess this question could also be posted with the food threads but I feel this is more specific to the region. Does anyone have some can't miss patisserie or charcuterie shops along the Le Puy route??? I am a big fan of pates and rillettes and saucisson and of course the bread to go along...
