I may switch to the CI if the herds are overwhelming once I arrive in Ponferada. I walked it in September and loved it. Only saw 4 other pilgrims the entire length. Which brings me to a question... if I take the CI from Ponferada (starting in SJPDP) would you receive a Compostella from the CF...- Eric G

Good news: the Invierno has doubled in popularity, according to 2018 stats!
I walked it in September and only saw 4 other pilgrims the whole 300km. What an awesome Camimo!! Now, dont ruin it by advertising!! ;)- Eric G

Good news: the Invierno has doubled in popularity, according to 2018 stats!
Purchase the "Wise Pilgrim " App on your phone. Also, if you search on this site, some guides are available as well. These worked just fine as it is very well marked. Only a few albergues on this route. Be financially prepared to stay in a few hotels or Hostels. Also, be prepared to carry a few...- Eric G

Anybody else walking The Invierno during Easter 2019?
I walked it in September. We only saw 4 other pilgrims the entire time. When albergues were available, we were the only ones occupying it. Very peaceful.. Enjoy- Eric G
