    Albergues from Lugo. Mid November

Hi all! Hopefully I will start El Camino with my grandfather on November 15 starting on Lugo. I've heard some albergues close in winter. Is there a way to know which albergues will be open? Any other tips/advice is greatly appreciated as well. Thank you all in advance!

Is it possible to pay for a meal at an albergue you're not staying at?

Being a vegetarian I like to plan ahead a little bit where my next meal is concerned. I notice that Albergue El Palo de Avellano in Zubiri is meant to do a nice vegetarian pilgrim's meal but I've booked a room in a different albergue for the night that doesn't do evening meals. Do albergues only...

    Computer acces near Sarria (urgent!)

I have sort of a weird question, but does anyone know if - and where - you could get access to a computer and have a private Skype conversation around Sarria? I am currently on the CF in Villar de Mazarife, and on the 24th of June I have a job interview scheduled. Very bad timing, but it is...

Sleeping bag or liner only on Inglés in May?

Walking the Inglés with a friend in early May. Planning to stay at 3 albergues (Neda, Presedo and Bruma). For those who have walked it, would you recommend a sleeping bag or will a liner be enough? Any other tips or advice would be appreciated. Thanks and Buen Camino!

    Efrén Gonzáles' youtube/Camino vlogs.

Hi all, Just want to do a quick shout out to Efren Gonzales' youtube channel. Other threads on this forum have mentioned his stellar documentation of his 2017 Camino Frances pilgrimage, capturing magnificent shots with his drone. I personally think it's the best self-documented series out there...

10 days without sleeping bag or liner?

So unexpectedly I now have 10 spare days between my Europe travels at the beginning of September. I travel only with hand luggage (aka the trusty 40L hiking backpack) and I absolutely do not have space for a sleeping bag or liner which I would have no use for outside of the camino; however, the...

    Albergue in Trabadelos

So tonight I'm staying in Albergue Camino y Leyenda... I do not recommend it. See, it's clean, charming, the owner is very nice, the whole upstairs is the sleeping area, kitchen, sitting area, and bathrooms. Great little place, and I'd love it, if it weren't for the dog. I'm a little baffled...

Up to date info Montamarta albergues

The municipal albergue has opened finally today. I don't know what it is like but the alternatives are not good: I and many others have been warned away from La Bruñeda due to the behaviour of the owner ; Tío Bartoli is freezing, has a very aggressive angry man (though Ana who is in charge is...

    Albergue Oliva de Palencia

The albergue and all other accommodation in Oliva de Palencia IS FULL. Moreover the tourist places nearby are as well. The woman who runs the former is rude and completely unhelpful (not just to me but other peregrinos and local people). Against the Spanish tourist association rules, she fills...

    Camino Portugues late December

Dear all, We plan to hike on the Camino Portugues for five to six days after Christmas - 12/27 to 01/01. Will most of the albergues be closed then? Hello all! I'm headed to Irún on Wednesday and had planned on staying in the Albergue Municipal. However, it looks like it will be closed already for the year--does anyone know of an alternative place to stay? I've tried calling the Municipal but cannot get through. Thanks! HJ
