Medallion from Pilgrim’s Office in St. Jean

My daughter and I walked the Camino this past summer. When we began in St. Jean, we were given little slips of paper explaining how to get a commemorative medallion from the Pilgrim’s Office for a modest fee. We of course lost the slips of paper. Anyone have the instructions? Thanks.

Transport: Biarritz airport to St Jean PP on 22 May 2018

Need a ride to St Jean PP? I’ve booked a ride with http://www.expressbourricot.com/ at 16H from the airport to St Jean PP: it’s a van for 8, so far it’s just Me. The more passengers, the cheaper it is per person. Email Express Bourricot and jump in the van for a one hour trip. Please.

Need help for a hotel in SJPDP

For this camino, I am looking to opt out of staying in an alburgue and stay in a private room at a hotel. Can anyone recommend a Hotel in SJPDP that also offers a communal meal/dinner with other pilgrims? Or an alburgue that has private rooms with a communal meal? Buen Camino Mark

    Camino Frances in April 2017

Hi, I am planning to walk in April 2017. From what I gather the journey from SJPDP takes 35 days to Santiago de Compostela. I need to book my flight for when I am done and hope that 35 days will be enough? I'm 32 years old and quite fit so I think I should be able to finish in time. Will...

I am travelling St Jean Pied de Port by train at this very minute. I am staying at a 300 year old cottage called Maison Jauberria at St Jean. Melanie, the host, has just text me to ask around if anyone needs a room tonight. She has 3 private rooms available with shared bathroom. The cottage...

La Citadelle in St Jean Pied-de-Port

Before we arrived in SJPDP we had heard about the Citadelle and that it was worth a visit. We didn't know much about it but certainly glad we did so, quite amazing for almost being 400 years old! I made a short video about our short hike up the day before we set out on the Camino for anyone...

    Restaurants in SJPP?

Another pilgrim and I will be arriving via train in SJPP on Saturday evening, 21 May, arriving at 19.12. Hiking over to hotel/albergue will get us checked in around 19.45, and then...the hunt for food. We are dismayed at the number of restaurants who post a closing time (closing!) at 19.30...

    Best Albergue in St Jean?

Hi Everyone, I am sure this has been asked hundreds of times but a lot of the answers lead me to this one: http://www.espritduchemin.org/en/hostel which is no longer servicing St Jean, so I am hoping you experienced pilgrims may be able to tell me which albergue will provide us with the best...

Hi All. After a 13 hour flight from Bangkok, I'll immediately be making my way to St Jean by train from CDG airport. I was thinking of stopping in Bordeaux but decided to head straight to the starting paint and have that extra day up my sleeve on the trail. Now after all that travelling, I...

Hi all. I'm in the early stages of planning my camino for September 2016. I'll probably be asking loads of questions over the next few months so please forgive me if they've been asked many times before. First question then. Is it recommended to pre book accommodation in SJPdP or is it ok to...
