Walking in 3 stages, first stage May 2020
Hi
We are planning to do the Camino in 3 stages. Our first stage will be 10 days this May. If we start at SJPDP where will that get us to? We are trying to work out where to fly back to the UK from.
Thanks

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

It all depends how fast and far you walk in a day.
https://www.gronze.com/camino-frances will help you with stages. According to the stages on gronze, you could be be in Belorado, and the closest airport is Burgos.
If you walk as slow as us, you would get to Los Arcos... :)
And if you leave SJPdP any day between 4 and 11 May, you can come and see us at the Accueil des Pèlerins (39 rue de la Citadelle) in SJPdP, where we are volunteering.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Burgos airport has no useful flights. Madrid airport is probably your best bet for frequency and choice of routes to the UK.
If you get to either Santo Domingo or Belorado (or anywhere west of Logroño, really) there is a twice -daily bus service to Madrid, (Avenida de America, frequent buses to Madrid airport) with PLM Autocares.
Alternatively, a local bus service, Autubuses Jimenez, has frequent services from Logroño and points west to Burgos, from where there are lots of connections to Madrid, including direct to the airport. Look at ALSA buses.

Bus travel is a great (and cheap) way to get round Spain. ALSA buses are clean and comfortable - and give a discount to over 60's. Happy planning!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I also expect to reach Los Arcos on day 10!
