Oh, dear. Well, the Camino has survived hundreds of years. millions of travelers, the Sheen boys B+ version, I 'spect it can survive a musical score reminiscent of "El Cid" and a glimpse of actors (*not real pilgrims, remember?) whose facial expressions exhibit those facing a trek Mt Everest, not the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Initially unimpressed in wintry Missouri.

Wow. Tough room. I might not see it... or might depending on mood... but still: tough room.

Ha, tough room is right!

Movie involving the Camino on Amazon, sure I will give it a chance. If it isn't any good I'll just switch over to something else. But it does look interesting enough for me to give it a shot. I will report back after viewing.

Has anybody watched this yet? I'm halfway through the second episode and it's not doing anything for me yet. Just wondering if there is reason to continue? ps. Who dresses like that when they're walking the Camino?

I ploughed through it only because it was COV time, and was perpetually irritated. The camino was merely a backdrop for a soap opera, and the backdrop remains perpetually in Samos as I recall. I liked the individual performers well enough, but the story drove me around the bend.

I watched it through when it first came out. It certainly isn't perfect, but neither are some other feature films about the Camino that people seem to find life-changing. I don't regret the time I spent on it, but I will say that there are videos and vlogs on YouTube without the budget or actors that I prefer.
