More and more pilgrims who, after embracing the Apostle, continue their march in search of the coveted End of the World. Certainly, the extended Muxía-Fisterra is the Jacobean stage that has grown most in recent years. So far this year, the public housing fisterrano hosted a total of 3,261 pilgrims, up from 2478 to 2009 during the same period. There was, therefore, an increase of 30%. 130 walkers arrived in January and in February, 141 in March, 360, and in April, 1063.

As it grows, the presence of walkers on the Path to Finisterre and Muxía, so does the number of shelters, mostly private. Thus, in the past year the capacity of shelters has been multiplied by four, amounting to some 450 beds.
In Negreira, at 20 berths of a public school, joined the 110 (expandable) of three private and will soon open another in Vilaserío.
Mazaricos Maroñas offers 12 places, and Dumbleton, 28 in Olveiroa, which is being finalized once the new shelter in the capital city.
In Cee opened a private hostel, and continues Corcubión San Roque. Finisterre, in addition to the public, has five private.
As for the shortcomings of this route, there continued to be protests over the lack of a bridge in Vaosilveiro. Many pilgrims also reported problems in the lack of signage between Muxía Fisterra.
