Hello,
I'm contemplating the Via de la Plata (again...I go back and forth). I would begin on June 1 in Sevilla. I've already walked the camino frances so I (kind of) know what I'm in for. Would it be possible to walk 25K a day the first week on VdlP? Later on I'll be able to manage 30-35K but in the beginning I would like to do a little less. Is it possible?
Also is there a guide that guides you from Sevilla to Stgo. with a list of albergues? I speak fluent Spanish so a guide in Spanish would be just fine.
Also...if anyone is currently on the VdlP or has heard about 2009, I'm curious just how many pilgrims are out there this year. It seems (according to this website) that recently people are running into other fellow pilgrims and some of the albergues have even been full. I would love to do the VdlP but my hesitation has always been that I might not run into many other pilgrims. I really don't want to feel like I'm the only one out there.
Thanks for your help.
