until I begin my first camino! I feel an unnerving mixture of excitement and anxiety but as I stated elsewhere on the forum, I'm hoping that my feet will start and my head and heart will follow. Any last minute advice?

Remember to enjoy the journey and all that it offers and always keep a pocket pack of Kleenex with you. It works great as emergency toilet paper and saved me a few times.

Buen camino!

Yes - important last minute advice: Stop. Stand still. Take a breath. Let it out. Take another one. Start walking. You're on your way - buen camino!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I feel similar and I am 17 sleeps away: elated and terrified. I didn't expect the latter when I realized I needed to go on this pilgramage. Thanks for the advice in the previous replies.

...Any last minute advice?

GettingThere said it perfectly.
And forget any expectations or ideas you might have, because whatever you imagine the Camito to be, it will be different. Better, worse--both. The three dimensional lived experience will be a continual surprise. Open to that!

I'd also like to add, always remember to look back to the East, you will see some stunning scenery. Also as you walk into Zuberi take a look at the bridge as you enter, there is an inscription on the bridge that says, "I'll see it when I believe it" that was so true for my whole camino.

I know you will have wonderful time, what awaits you is breath taking.

Buen Camino

All of the replies have been both reassuring and informative. I especially like tidbits like this;

Thank you!
