May-June 2013, Camino Frances
My mother, wife, (then) 13 month old son, and I walked the Camino in 2013. I'm looking for Christmas presents for my mom, and was considering the Bonus Features DVD that can be added on to the Walking the Camino: 6 Ways to Santiago documentary that came out two years ago. We don't particularly like The Way, mostly like Saint Jacque, but do quite like that documentary (we own it). We also quite like it because it was filmed just two weeks ahead of us on the trail. Has anybody seen the bonus DVD? Is it interesting? Have good enough stuff? Normally we aren't big fans of "DVD extras" but because the topic is so personal and because we liked the documentary itself so much, we thought it might make a good gift. But I can't find reviews of the bonus features DVD so I was curious if anyone had seen it......

*For clarity, I'm not talking about the bonus features on the regular DVD (we have that). There is a separate DVD with more bonus features

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I have both. Not a fan of the Bonus DVD. It's not bad, per se; it just doesn't (IMO) really add much overall.

Can I beg to differ - I really liked the commentary from director and cinematographer that made the original film even better
I believe the director's commentary is on the regular film DVD, not the bonus features DVD.

I give anyone that is interested in the Camino "the way" & 6 Ways to Santiago. Then after they watch them, have the discution about movies vs documentaries. Both serve a purpose about walking for ones faith & the difference concerning reality, starting points & individual preferences.

To be fair, documentaries are movies, and are just as biased as narrative films. 6 ways to santiago certainly is (even though I do in fact like it).

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Yes that is very true, I like both. Just lean more for the documentary. In any case they are A marketing tool for the Camino.
