Hi, this year I just ended the Portuguese Camino. I am already thinking ahead for next year. I am considering doing the Norte, but I only have two weeks available to do part of it. Can anyone recommand where to start from that point to Santiago ? Or maybe I just do the Frances from Pontevedra to Santiago and then up to Muxia and Finisterra. Any advice welcome .....

Hi Timar,
We have just finished the Norte crossing over to the Primitivo at Oviedo and if we only had 2 weeks we
Would do the Primitivo it was beautiful.
Buen Camino

Well, I've been looking at the Primitivo, it's about 350 k, I guess .... I heard it's beautiful but harder to do.

I did Primitivo last year (11 days) just finished Irun to Santander (Norte) this year (10 days). I would concur with the Sinclairs that Primtivo is a good choice for 2 weeks and personally I thought the Norte appears tougher with lots of up/down though not as steep as Primitivo. Also quite a bit of road walking which I didn’t quite enjoy. But i must confess that the entrance to Santander along the coast was an amazing sight.

Given the 2, i would still choose Primitivo. And it was not that tough actually.

Mmmmm! We were possibly track fit being on the Norte for a few weeks but we didn't feel it was too bad. In fact we thought it was about the same....harder but not as many kilometres per day 🤔🤔
We would definitely do the Primitivo again, Not the Norte
All the best in whatever you choose

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thanks, I have still plenty of time to decide.

Hi all! I walked the Le Puy to Roncesvalles route last spring, and now I am thinking of Arles to Compostela on the Norte in the fall. I have many questions. I have downloaded the WP Norte App. I...
