Does anyone know a way to get to Sarria from A Coruña today after the 9.15 train has left and before the late afternoon train?

I would like to re-start walking from Sarria today but I have missed the early train. Any ideas? Including going via other towns or cities.

I would have thought that there were lots of ways into Sarria, with so many people starting there but I can't seem to find them.

Your best bet at this point is probably a bus to Lugo, from the bus station which is a short walk from the train station assuming that's where you are now. Looks like Arriva have one at 10.30 then one at 11.00, then nothing till 2pm or so. Skates on if you're not already there! Then either a bus from Lugo to Sarria if you're lucky, or a taxi (expensive but worth it if desperate). Or if all that makes you feel exhausted at the thought, maybe just wait for that later train, have a good sleep in Sarria tonight and set off tomorrow. Whatever you decide - good luck and buen Camino!

Another thought, apart from the above: train to Santiago then 3pm bus to Sarria.

No, forget that! Just caught your reply that you're on the bus to Lugo! Good one, that's your best option. All the best from a fellow Kiwi. I remember your earlier posts about your health - you have really had a tough time, good on you for re-starting, sending you a big thumbs up and many good wishes!

By the way, how did you know to look at Arriva? Are you a local or you just know or is there a website somewhere that lists the routes of local Spanish bus companies?

Aha - no, there's a brilliant site called rome2rio.com - you can put in your 'to' and 'from' for just about anywhere and it will tell you (heard about it on this wonderful Forum), and it gives links to relevant bus company sites. Hence Arriva. Plus I was traveling around there a few weeks ago, mostly by train though, so it's all still fairly familiar (wish I was still there...!)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
